Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk II undercard announced in full as Britain’s Mike Tyson takes big step up

The undercard for Tyson Fury’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk has been announced, and there’s a space for British prospect Moses Itauma.

Fury and Usyk will do battle for the second time in Saudi Arabia on December 21 after the Ukrainian became undisputed heavyweight champion with a split-decision victory over Fury in May.

Fury will be looking to exact revenge on Usyk in Riyadh, who ended the ‘Gypsy King’s’ undefeated recordAFP

Usyk vacated his IBF title, meaning it won’t be an undisputed clash second time round, but it’s set to be an enthralling night of boxing with five fights being added to the card.

From a British perspective, the other standout bout sees Itauma, who has been dubbed ‘Britain’s Mike Tyson’, lock horns with Australian Demsey McKean.

Heavyweight Itauma has a perfect record from his ten fights, winning eight of them by knockout.

Itauma’s most recent outing saw him impressively beat Poland’s Mariusz Wach by TKO back in July but the showdown with McKean is set to represent the biggest test of his career to date.

Despite beginning his career in MMA and Muay Thai, McKean has won 22 of his 23 professional boxing fights.

The setting of Itauma’s next fight could represent a big psychological test for the 19-year-old.

He made his debut on the Artur Beterbiev vs. Anthony Yarde card in January 2023, however, this will be dwarfed by his participation in what could be the biggest boxing event of the year.

Also on the Fury vs Usyk II undercard is an all-British heavyweight clash between Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen.

Meanwhile, Dennis McCann will defend his European super-bantamweight title against Peter McGrail.

And the other all-British showdown sees super-bantamweights Isaac Lowe and Lee McGregor face-off.
