The 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup resumed for the second successive weekend at London’s Copper Box Arena.
Uganda She Cranes lost to the hosts England 48-59 on Saturday, 8th February in the final round robin duel.
Uganda opened with a slim 12-11 lead by the opening quarter. England bossed the score-line 29-28 by the mandatory half-time break.
By the third quarter, it was all square; 42 goals apiece before England stretched the lead to 11 goals and won it in the fourth and final quarter 59-48.
Meanwhile, South Africa edged out a hard fighting Malawi 58-55 to book a final berth against England.
This was third loss for Uganda in the series having also lost to Malawi and South Africa 59-45 and 45-70 respectively at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, United Kingdom the previous weekend.
Uganda She Cranes succumbed to a sour start with two defeats to South Africa and Malawi.
On 1st February 2025, Uganda lost 45-70 to South Africa before host country England defeated Malawi 62-36.
On the subsequent day, Uganda fell 45-59 to Malawi in the opener and South Africa recorded their second win in the series, outmuscling England 61-59.
The top two teams on the standings after the round-robin phase (England and South Africa) will face off in the final on Sunday, 9 February.
Malawi and Uganda will play for the third place slot.
