Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich predictions
Union Berlin will be looking to build on a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt when they take on Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Die Eisernen ended a three match losing skid by coming from behind to defeat Champions League chasing Frankfurt on the road last weekend.
Michy Batshuayi opened the scoring for the hosts. But second half strikes from Leopold Querfeld (62) and Jeong Woo-yeong (78) secured a much needed win for the Iron Ones.
Despite the three points, Union remained 14th in the Bundesliga table.
The win has put more daylight between the Iron Ones and the two automatic relegation places, although Bochum’s unexpected victory over Bayern means Union are still only six points clear of the relegation playoff position.
Bayern will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering only their second Bundesliga defeat of the season last Saturday.
As we’ve just referred to, Bayern lost 3-2 to Bochum at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 25.
Despite holding a 3-0 lead over Leverkusen from the first leg of their Round of 16 Champions League tie, Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany opted to rest his key players against Bochum ahead of Tuesday’s return leg at the BayArena.
The plan seemed to be working as Munich raced into a two goal lead thanks to a brace from Raphaël Guerreiro inside the first 30 minutes.
But with the score at 2-1, the match turned just before half time when Joao Palhinha received a red card on 42 minutes.
Bochum added two more in the second half to inflict only Bayern’s second defeat of the season, and their first at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga.
The move to change the team cost Bayern three points in the Bundesliga. But they got the job done in the Champions League by beating Leverkusen 2-0 in the second leg of the Champions League on Tuesday, taking the tie 5-0 on aggregate.
Bayern also weren’t punished in the Bundesliga as Leverkusen also dropped points on Matchday 25. Xabi Alonso’s team lost 2-0 at home to Werder, meaning the Bavarians retained their eight point lead at the top of the table.

Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich betting tips
With Bayern landing a couple of Champions League blows on their main rivals for the Bundesliga title, the league leaders know they can put even more pressure on Leverkusen with a convincing win over Union Berlin on Saturday. Our match tips are below:
Bayern to win and over 2.5 goals
With no matches for two weeks after this, Bayern know they can go for the jugular against Union.
Berlin has a poor home record. They have won four from 12 in front of their own fans, drawing three and losing five. Furthermore, the Iron Ones have scored only ten goals at home this season. It’s hardly inspiring stuff.

Bayern is 1/3 to win in the full-time result market. Add over 2.5 goals, and the bet pays just under even money. This wager covers us if Berlin scores and Bayern wins, and it also covers us if Bayern gives the hosts a good hammering.
Tip – Back Bayern to win and over 2.5 goals at 47/50 with SBK
Both teams to score
Both teams to score is 5/6. It’s rare that the odds on this market are this good in Bundesliga matches.
The reason for the good odds is down to Berlin’s record of just 22 goals in 25 matches.
But Union is coming off the back of a 2-1 win over Frankfurt. They will also know that Bayern may slightly drop their guard after their Champions League win over Leverkusen in midweek.
Union has scored in seven of their 12 Bundesliga matches at home this season. The statistics certainly don’t leap off the page and demand a bet on both teams scoring, but Bayern aren’t watertight at the back, and this bet looks worth taking at 5/6.
Tip – Back yes in both teams to score at 5/6 with Tote
Harry Kane to score anytime
It can be a bit obvious backing Harry Kane to score, but when he is nearly even money, we have to jump all over the bet.
Kane is 43/50 to score against Union. He can be as short as 1/2 or 4/6 for some matches.
The better odds are probably down to Union having one of the better defenses of the Bundesliga strugglers, and the fact that Munich is on the road.
Kane hasn’t scored in his last four Bundesliga matches. Two of those appearances came from the bench, and one of the matches was the 0-0 draw with Leverkusen.
Despite his lack of goals in the league, the England captain is in good form in Europe. He scored three times and provided one assist in the two Champions League matches against Leverkusen.
He is also well overdue a goal in the Bundesliga
Tip – Back Harry Kane to score anytime at 43/50 with Casumo
