Bolt won eight Olympic gold medals across three separate Games during his illustrious career.

He also remains the world record holder in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m.

The 38-year-old is not keen on facing ex-USA sprinter Gatlin eight years on from retiring.

Bolt recently appeared on the Ready Set Go podcast, which Gatlin hosts alongside former Bahamas athlete Rodney Green.

Asked if he would agree to a rematch with Gatlin, Bolt said: “I’m ready, just for the fun of it. I’m ready, let’s go. It’ll be fun.”

The Jamaican continued: “Nah man, Justin, him? He’s in too good of a shape.

“Bro I see him doing starts all the time. I asked him, I text him, ‘Bro, why are you in such good shape?”

Bolt and Gatlin first faced each other in a major event in the 100m final at London 2012.

The race ended in victory for Bolt with an Olympic record time of 9.63 seconds, whilst Gatlin finished in third.

Gatlin would go on to finally beat his rival in the final of the 2017 World Championship, which also happened in the London Stadium, as he took gold.

Bolt also named his dream line-up of opponents with three greats of his generation[/caption]

Meanwhile, Bolt claimed bronze in his final individual race before retiring.

Despite shutting down a rematch with Gatlin, he went on to put together his dream line-up of opponents.

Bolt told the 2004 Olympic champion: “Me, you, Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake.

“I would definitely like to compete against Maurice Green, Ben Johnson. Let’s give Noah (Lyles) the spot just because I would love to race against him.”

He also admitted he wished he had got revenge on another rival in Xavier Carter before ending his career.

Bolt made the revelation whilst reflecting on being taunted by Carter after a race in 2007.

Discussing the incident, he said: “It hurts me to the core to this day because I never got the chance to beat him back, I never got the chance, to the core bro.”

Despite having the distinction of beating Bolt and being the 12th fastest man in 200m history, Carter never competed at the Olympics during his career.
