Seven-time league champions Express want a steadfast start to the second round when they host Bul at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo under the floodlights on Wednesday.
The Red Eagles ended the first round in fine form and a decision to punish KCCA in the case of fielding Gavin Kizito at Mbarara City saw them overtake the Kasasiro to climb to third place.
Badru Kaddu and his captain Emmanuel Wasswa know what a decent start to the second-round mean.
“Our target is to finish in the top four positions and we can only achieve that by winning matches,” said Kaddu. “I call upon all fans to show up as we play Bul to cheer us in order to get maximum points,” he added.
Wasswa who will skipper the side echoed nearly same sentiments revealing the players’ readiness for the game.
“As players, we are well prepared and have no injuries to worry about,” he started. “We want to start the second round on a high and the Bul game is very important,” he added.
In the first round fixture, Bul led through Nicholas Mwere 42nd minute goal but were undone by a late Samuel Ssenyonjo leveler at the death.
Ramzey Kawooya is ineligible to face parent side Bul after he rejoined the Red Eagles on loan but the club could hand Muhamad Ssenoga, Jimmy Logoro their debuts.
