West Ham vs Chelsea predictions

West Ham have alternated between winning and not winning in their last ten league home games against Chelsea with five wins, three losses and two draws.

As a result, them beating them 3-1 at the London Stadium last season means they could be in for another draw or loss if the trend continues.

They last won consecutive home league games against the Blues in 2001-02/2002-03, showing it’s a longstanding run.

Chelsea have won 30 of their 56 league meetings with West Ham only losing 16 in that time, having only won more against Tottenham in the competition.

West Ham’s home form hasn’t been great this year either, with two losses already, but against some top opposition in what could just be seen as an unfortunate draw in the fixtures – against Villa and Man City already.

West Ham vs Chelsea betting tips

Chelsea to win, Jackson to score, Palmer to assist, over 3.5 cards – 15/1

To add to West Ham’s home woes, Chelsea away form has been great, with four straight wins on the road.

West Ham have faced more shots than any other side across the opening four Premier League games this season. At 18.25, it’s the highest number of shots they’ve faced per game since 2010-11 when they were relegated (18.26).

And with the way Chelsea play, they could see a few chances against the Hammers and even a couple of goals.

Nicolas Jackson scored a brace in their 5-0 win at home over the Hammers last season, as well as picking up an assist.

He and Cole Palmer have already been on fire with goals and contributions this season, with a total of eight goal contributions between them.

Chelsea have been shown more yellow cards than any other side in the Premier League this season with a staggering 16 already.

Though, half of those did come in their heated clash with Bournemouth last weekend.

And with this being a London derby, both sides will be up for a big clash.
