Aaron Ramsdale was spotted wearing a modified goalkeeper glove in Southampton’s Premier League clash at Fulham.
The 26-year-old returned to the Saints’ starting XI in the league for the first time since November following a spell out with injury.
Ramsdale was seen wearing a four-fingered glove on his left hand as the England international damaged his finger.
He underwent surgery on a suspected fracture and has now made his back into the side with his newly designed attire on show.
The goalkeeper sustained the injury during Southampton’s 2-0 loss at Wolves last month.
Ramsdale was named in the England squad for the November international break but withdrew due to the problem with his finger.
“Aaron has had an operation on his finger, he’ll hopefully be back this side of Christmas,” former boss Russell Martin said at the time.
Alex McCarthy and Joe Lumley deputised during his absence, with Southampton losing four out of five league matches in that time.
Their £25million signing is now back though and made a quick return to action in the opening half an hour at Fulham.
He pulled off an excellent save with his modified glove to deny Alex Iwobi’s curling effort on goal.
