Ted Kravitz was a surprising absentee from Sky Sports’ Formula 1 coverage in Saudi Arabia – but he’s set to return in Miami.
Kravitz, who has been Sky’s pitlane reporter since 2012, missed the action in Jeddah, leaving fans without one of their favourite shows.

The 51-year-old is the host of ‘Ted’s Notebook’, which occurs after each session of a Grand Prix weekend.
It wasn’t broadcast last time out and he wasn’t included throughout the Saudi GP, but he’s going to be back soon…
Will Ted be back at Miami Grand Prix?
Kravitz will return for the Miami Grand Prix.
He confirmed that he would only be absent for one race weekend, missing the action in Saudi Arabia.
Announcing that he would be missing, Kravitz said: “It’s the Saudi Grand Prix on the 18th, 19th and 20th of April. I won’t be there – it’s my first of this year’s races where I’m not on site.
The fan favourite reporter would then go on to reveal the date he’ll be back.
“So the Notebook will return at the Miami Grand Prix at the start of May,” he added.
To be specific, that will be the race weekend beginning Friday, May 3 and ending on Sunday, May 5.
It means Kravitz will be back on TV screens on May 3, with Ted’s Notebook returning after each session again.
In his programme, he gives updates on team strategies and analysis on certain talking points throughout the weekend.

Kravitz has been part of Sky Sports’ coverage for the last 13 years and is a staple figure along with Martin Brundle and David Croft.
The broadcasters will show the entire weekend of action live.
Sky customers can live stream this via the app using their mobile, tablet or computer devices.
You can also purchase a Sky Sports Day Pass from NowTV for £14.99, while Channel Four will broadcast highlights post-race.
