If you think you’ve seen it all from CM Punk’s bloody brawl with Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell, think again.

One of WWE‘s hottest feuds of the year concluded with one final showdown at last weekend’s Bad Blood premium live event.

It was Punk who emerged victorious after a brutal 30-minute match, which saw both stars use the steel walls of the structure – as well as wrenches and chains – to destroy each other’s bodies.

McIntyre was legitimately injured during the bout, with the Scottish star requiring 16 staples in his head to close up a wound.

The match is regarded by fans as one of the best in recent memory, and now a new angle of the epic battle has emerged.

WWE has released above-the-ring footage from Bad Blood, which captures the bloody action in all its glory.

In the video, Punk can be seen catching McIntyre with his GTS finishing move, before the Scotsman catches his opponent with a Claymore kick in return.

One of the most memorable moments of the match, which saw McIntyre fly back-first into the steel steps – was also captured by the above-ring angle.

The video concludes with the referee counting Punk’s final pin on the bloody canvas, ending the match.

According to reports, backstage reaction to the war inside the cell has been positive.

The feeling inside WWE was that the two stars “brought back a sense of danger and ferociousness that cage matches used to carry years ago,” PW Insider reported.

Bad Blood also marked the conclusion of their trilogy of matches, with McIntyre winning the first encounter at SummerSlam and Punk winning the second at Bash in Berlin in a Strap match, before the decider inside Hell in a Cell went Punk’s way.

It’s not yet clear what the future holds for the two stars moving forward.

Appearing on Monday Night RAW this week, a heavily-bandaged Punk effectively announced he was taking a sabbatical from WWE, and didn’t confirm a return date.

He thanked wrestling fans for their long-time support and also gave a shout out to his haters – likely including McIntyre – for motivating him to turn that hate into cash.

“I’m gonna go home, I haven’t seen my wife in about five weeks, I’ve got a lot of flowers to buy,” Punk told the crowd.

“I appreciate you all. I’d like to say I’ll see you soon, but I just don’t know.”

However, as he made his way backstage, Punk was confronted by long-time rival Seth Rollins, hinting that a programme between the pair could come sooner than he suggested.
