A record-breaking performance allowed Atlanta Falcons star Kirk Cousins to utter his iconic three-word catch phrase once again.
“You like that?!” yelled the 36-year-old quarterback in the Falcons locker room after orchestrating an incredible 36-30 overtime win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.

Cousins completed 42 of 58 passes for a career-high 509 yards and four touchdowns in the nail-biting victory.
The $180million quarterback, signed as a big free agent in the summer on a four-year deal, broke Matt Ryan’s Falcons record for passing yards in a game (503) — the most points ever score by a Falcon in franchise history.
Only 14 quarterbacks have thrown for more yards in a game, led by Norm Van Brocklin’s mark of 554 yards that has stood since 1951.
The veteran signal caller’s last TD of the night came in overtime after Younghoe Koo — the NFL’s hottest kicker right now — knocked a field goal through from 52 yards to level the score as the clock hit zero.
Atlanta won the coin toss and decided to use the ball, with Cousins twice finding wide receiver Drake London as the Falcons progressed towards the endzone.
He then completed a 45-yard scoring pass to KhaDarel Hodge for the walk-off victory.
According to Net Gen Stats, the Falcons’ win probability was as low as 4.7 percent at one stage in the game.
This is the Falcons’ second win of the season with a minimum win probability of less than 5 percent. They had zero such wins between 2016 and 2023.
After Cousins threw for a franchise-record 509 passing yards, he hyped up the crowd inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the ‘Swag Surfin’ dance – the Fast Life Youngstaz’s Atlanta anthem which has become a staple for crowds at sporting events.
“What a night,” Cousins posted on X, along with a video of him doing the dance which involves waving yours arms from side to side.

The jubilant celebrations continued into the locker room where Cousins dropped the iconic “You like that?!”, which sent everyone into a frenzy pouring water over one another.
The iconic quote stems from a game in 2015 when Cousins led Washington to a comeback 31–30 win over the Buccaneers after trailing 24–0.
He shouted the phrase toward a member of the media while walking through the tunnel and toward Washington’s locker room.
Drake London could also be heard shouting it as he stated he feels “like Kirko Chainz”.
London was the top target on Thursday for Cousins, hauling in 12-of-13 targets for 154 yards and one touchdown.
The Falcons had five players total at least 66 receiving yards, with London and Darnell Mooney (nine catches, 105 yards, two touchdowns) topping the 100-yard mark.
“I spread it around and the players made plays,” said Cousins.
“I’m grateful for the progress we’ve made. We’re getting better and better each week.”
Cousins now has 1,373 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
The Falcons are now 3-2, leading the NFC South with wins over the Buccaneers (3-2) and Saints (2-2).
“I’m proud of the grit,” Cousins said.
“In this league, that’s what it takes. We were gritty tonight.”
